"In the days of peace that are to come after the desolation of revolutions and wars,
before the end of the world, the Christians will become so lax in their religion
that  they will refuse to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, saying, 'it is an
unnecessary Sacrament'; and when the false prophet, the precursor of the
Anti-Christ comes, all who are not confirmed will apostatise, while those who are
confirmed will stand firm in the faith, and only a few will renounce Christ."

                                                     - St. Vincent Ferrer (d. 1418)

"Before the triumph of the Church comes God will first take vengeance on the
wicked, especially against the Godless. It will be a new Judgement, the like has
never been before and it will be universal. It will be so terrible that those who
outlive it will imagine that they are the only ones spared. All people will then be
good and contrite. This judgement will come suddenly and be of short duration.
Then comes the triumph of the holy Church and the reign of brotherly love.
Happy, indeed, they who live to see those blessed days. However, before that,
evil will have made such progress that it will look like all the devils of hell were let
loose on earth, so terrible will be the persecution of the wicked against the just,
who will have to suffer true martyrdom."

                     - Father Bernard Maria Clausi, O.F.M. (d. 1849)

"The time of Anti-Christ will be near when the measure of injustice will overflow
and when wickedness has grown to immense proportions, when the Christians
love heresies and the unjust trample underfoot the servants of God."

                                       - St. Bridget of Sweden (d. 1373)

"When sin and righteousness, blasphemy and violence and all kinds of deeds
increase, an apostasy in transgression and uncleanness increase, a great
chastisement shall come from heaven."

"Sinners will alter and pervert the words of righteousness in many ways, and will
speak wicked words, and lie, and practice great deceits, and write books
concerning their words."

                                                           - The Book of Enoch

"Those who lord it over the parts of the world today and who condone or
propagate evil in national laws, press and schools as well as private lives and
who think they can restore peace to nations and reform society and bring
happiness to men, these err greatly.  These gifts they think they can disburse
are the property of God alone, Infidels, even though Christian in name, shall
not dispense them lest the recipients say: See, I have received happiness from
so and so or such a nation or such a government or such a form of government.
No, irrespective of the sincerity of any individual involved misery will grow, war
will come. Communism will rule and the Anti-Christ will arrive."

                                                        -  Chicago Layman

Jesus allegedly speaking : "The offenses that I have received, and those that
I shall yet receive are many, especially woman with her immodest dress, her
nakedness, her frivolity and her evil intentions. Because of all this she shall
accomplish the demoral-ization of the family, and of mankind. Such shall be
the corruption of morality in every social class, and so great unchastity, that My
Eternal Father shall be forced to destroy entire cities should they not reform
after this merciful call. "

"Ordinarily the corruption of the family always has been the origin of the public
calamities, and of the destruction of the Christian Faith: for the first purpose
of our common enemy is the destruction of the Christian family: once he attains
this, the infernal enemy is sure of victory. Therefore the great evil of these times,
and of the even worse than these that shall come, always has been and always
shall be to lose the memory and taste of the supernatural life, living only for
earthly and sinful things."

                        - Mother Maria Rafols (dated 1815,  found 1931)

"Through a terrible purgatory Europe will return to the faith."

                                  -  Jean Paul Richter (d. 1809)

"An unusual chastisement of the human race will take place towards the end of
the world."

                                         - Sr. Mary of Agreda  (d. 1665)

"There will be a general defection from the Church near the end of the world,
especially regarding obedience to Her."

                                        - Richard Rolle of Hampole  (d. 1349)

Now is it come to pass that the hearts of men and nations are hardened like flint
upon the face of the earth. For this is the last hour of self-righteousness and of
the hypocrite; when men of smug face and smooth tongue gather into their snares
all the people of simple mind, to pour upon them the force of hatred and jealousy
and lead them into slaughter...
And it came to pass that when the last quarter of the last hour arrived...the yellow
hordes in the place of the Rising Sun, and the white hosts of the middle kingdom
have joined hands...And behold, they pour out their terrifying wrath upon the
inhabitants of the island kingdom which is swelled with victory and grown fat upon
the commerce of sea and land.

                                        -  Monessen (Pa.) Layman

"Wars are punishments for the sins of the world"

                       -  Jacinta  (Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, 1917)

I see a land with a hooked cross (swastika). In this nation there will arise a proud
statesman who will seek to throw Christ from His throne. They will even attack
the power of reproduction in the mother's womb. Many in this land will carry the
hooked cross on their forehead and breast, not suspecting that this is the sign
of satan. In these times many priests and monks will suffer in prison. They will be
designated as criminals and most of their wealth will be confiscated. When the
hooked cross glitters on the top of church steeples, they will be at the zenith
of their power.

                                   -  Countess Francesca de Brilliante (d. 1935)

In the first age the nobility will flourish; in the second age the Church will rule;
in the third age the law will tyrannize, and thereafter war will destroy everything.

                                     -  Old Roman Prophecy

For when they shall say, peace and security: then shall sudden destruction come
upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child and they shall not escape.

                                       - 1 Thes. 5:1-3

After the Great war (WWI) there will be no peace. the people will rise and all will
fight against each other... The rich and nobles will be killed. The world war will not
make people better but much worse.... Tell your children that their children will
live to see the time when the earth will be cleared. God will do away with people
because there will be no charity among men. Religious faith will decline: priests will
not be respected: people will be intent only on eating and drinking: there will be
many immensely rich people and large numbers of paupers: great wealth will not
endure long, for the red caps (Communists?) will come. People will hide in the
forests and many will go into exile. After this civil conflict and general clearing up
people will love each other as much as previously they hated one another.

                                             - Mathew Lang (d. 1820)

Justice shall be outraged, multitudinous evils, great suffering shall prevail, and
many unjust laws will be administered. The time shall come when they will not
perform charitable acts, and truth shall not remain in them. They will plunder
the property of the Church, they will be continually sneering at each other, they
will employ themselves at reading and writing. They will scoff at acts of humanity,
and at irreproachable humility; there shall come times of dark affliction, of scarcity,
of sorrow, and of wailing; in the latter ages of the world's existence...Neither justice
nor covenant
will be observed by any one  people  of the race of Adam; they will become
hard-hearted and penurious, and will be devoid of piety. The clergy will become
fosterers, in consequence of the tidings of wretchedness, (that will reach them);
churches shall be held in bondage, (i.e., become private property), by the all-
powerful men of the day. Judges will administer injustice, under the sanction of
powerful, outrageous kings; the common people will adopt false principles, oh,
how lamentable shall be their position!  Doctors of science shall have cause to
murmur...the aged will mourn in deep sorrow, on account of the woeful times that
shall prevail. Excellent men shall be steeped in poverty, the people will become
inhospitable to their guests, the voice of the parasite will be
more agreeable to them than the melody of the harp touched by the sage's finger.
The changes of the seasons shall product only half their verdure, the regular
festivals of the Church will not be observed; all classes of men shall be filled with
hatred and enmity towards each other...they will live devoid of justice and rectitude,
up from the youth of tender age to the aged. Young women will become unblushing,
and aged people will be
of irascible temper; the kine will seldom be productive, as of old: lords will become
murderers...There shall be no standard by which morals may be regulated, and
marriage will be solemnized without witnesses...With the view of winning honour for
themselves, they will hold each other as objects  fir ridicule. The possessors of
abundance shall fall through the multiplicity of their falsehoods; covetousness shall
take possession of every glutton, and when satiated, their arrogance will know no
bounds. Neighbors will become treacherous, cold, and false-hearted towards each
other. The gentry will become grudgeful, with respect to their trifling donations; and
blood relations will become cool towards each other; Church livings shall become lay
property.
Such is the description of the people who shall live in the ages to come; more unjust
and iniquitous shall be every succeeding race of men. The trees shall not bear the
usual quantity of fruit, fisheries shall become unproductive and the earth shall not
yield its usual abundance. Inclement weather and famine shall come and fishes shall
forsake the rivers. The people oppressed for want of food, shall pine to death.
Dreadful storms and hurricanes shall afflict them. Numberless diseases shall then
prevail. Fortifications shall be build narrow during those times of dreadful danger.
Then a great event shall happen. I fail not to notice it: rectitude shall be its
specious motive, and if ye be not truly holy, a more sorrowful event could not
possibly happen.

                                          -  St. Columbkille (d. 597)

When the angel had descended I beheld above him a great shining cross in the
heavens. On it hung the Savior from whose Wounds shot brilliant rays over the
whole earth. Those glorious wounds were red… their center gold-yellow… He
wore no crown of thorns, but from all the Wounds of His Head streamed rays.
Those from His Hands, Feet, and Side were fine as hair and shone with rainbow
colors; sometimes they were all united and fell upon villages, cities, and houses
throughout the world… I also saw a shining red heart floating in the air. From one
side flowed a current of white light to the Wound of the Sacred Side, and from
the other a second current fell upon the Church in many regions; its rays attracted
numerous souls who, by the Heart and the current of light, entered into the Side
of Jesus. I was told that this was the Heart of Mary. Beside these rays, I saw
from all the Wounds about thirty ladders let down to earth.

                                           —  Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich

But upon him who chooses to remain in his sins and malice, My justice shall come.
And at an hour that they will not believe, and even if they are living in some great
delight, I shall then snatch them away from earthly life and put them to eternal
death in a place where they will nevermore see My face. Because they loved to
do and accomplish their inordinate and corrupt way rather than to follow My way
and My Commandments.

-- St. Birgitta of Sweden (1303-1373)

This Prince of Liars will swear by the Bible and pose as the arm of the Almighty,
chastising a corrupt age. In the beginning he will work by cunning and crime.  His
spies will infest the whole world and he will become master of the secrets of the
mighty.  He will pay theologians to show that his mission is from God. A war will
give him the opportunity to assume his true role - this war will not be the one he
will wage against a French sovereign but one which will within a fortnight involve
the whole world and will be easily recognised by his mark on his followers.

The Angels will enlighten men and in the third week they  will wonder if this
is truly the Antichrist, and realising that it is they will either have to fight to
overthrow him or become his slaves.

Antichrist will be recognised by various tokens: in especial he will massacre the
priests, the monks, the women, the children, and the aged.  He will show no mercy,
but will pass torch in hand, like the barbarians, yet invoking Christ!  His words of
imposture will resemble those of Christians, but his actions will be those of Nero
and of the Roman persecutors.  He will have an eagle in his coat of arms as also his
lieutenant, the other wicked ruler - this latter will be a Christian who will die when
cursed by the Pope, who will be elected at the beginning of the reign of Antichrist.

Priests and monks will no longer be seen hearing confessions and absolving the
combatants: partly because they will be fighting alongside other Christians and
partly because the Pope, having cursed Antichrist, will proclaim that all who fight
against him, if they die, will go to Heaven as martyrs.  The Bull, proclaiming these
things will rekindle the courage of the faint-hearted and will cause the death of the
monarch allied with Antichrist.  Before Antichrist is overthrown however, more men
will have been killed than were ever within the walls of Rome.

Never will humanity have been faced with such a peril, because the triumph of
Antichrist would be that of the demon, who will have taken possession of his
personality.  For it has been said that, twenty centuries after the Incarnation of
the Word the Beast will be incarnate in his turn and will menace the earth with as
many evils as the Incarnation has brought it graces. Towards the year 2000
Antichrist will be made manifest.  His army, will surpass in number anything that
can be imagined.   There will be Christians among his cohorts, and there will be
Mohammedan and heathen soldiers among the defenders of the Lamb.

Towards the end of the world, tyrants and hostile mobs will rob the Church and
the clergy of all their possessions and will afflict and martyr them. Those who
heap the most abuse upon them will be held in high esteem.

At that time, the Pope with his cardinals will have to flee Rome in tragic
circumstances to a place where they will be unknown. The Pope will die a cruel
death in his exile. The sufferings of the Church will be much greater than at any
previous time in her history.

But God will raise a holy Pope, and the Angels will rejoice. Enlightened by God,
this man will rebuild almost the whole world through his holiness. He will lead
everyone to the true Faith. Everywhere, the fear of God, virtue, and good
morals will prevail. He will lead all erring sheep back to the fold, and there shall
be one faith, one law, one rule of life, and one baptism on earth. All men will love
each other and do good, and all quarrels and wars will cease.

                                                                     -  St. John of the Cleft Rock

The people that will be living around the eighth century (7500 years since the
creation), will acquiesce into corruption of the flesh, and will argue incessantly
with no beginning and no end.  Then the eighth Synod will convene….and things
will become peaceful for a while, but soon people’s minds will revert back to the
evil ways and perdition. They will not respect the sanctity of marriage but with
dissipation will gravitate towards perdition which will be worse than during Sodom
and Gommorah….committing many more evil works. The more evil works, the more
calamities will befall the people. The people then will be committing twice as much
evil, believing that whoever does evil is good…The more greedy men become the
more sorrow will visit the earth. Love of money will become an insatiable passion.
Greed leads to perdition and destitution leads to salvation, for man is risking
salvation through greed.   This curse (greed) will bring great sorrow to the world
and happiness will disappear and will be replaced with discord. Greed will
be the throne of the antichrist. Greed offers to the world lies and people are
attracted to lies and become lawless being abducted by injustice.

Truth has disappeared and everybody believes in lies. Truth is the intimate
economy of Christ and of the teaching of the Gospel, but the lie is the advent
of the antichrist and his kingdom, which wishes to bring global calamity and
perdition to the world. Like the Prophets prophesied the coming of the Lord,
likewise over concern will darken the intellect of men, they will become insensitive
to their salvation from their over concerns they may have. Salvation will be rescued
only by those that refrain from partaking in the works of the antichrist whose works
are the cares of this world and the hoarding of treasures. To day’s men are given
over to hoarding treasures and worries and have surrendered themselves over to
perdition through looting, betrayals, lies, homosexuality, gluttony, pride , hardness
of heart and overwhelming avarice….

When the world will become impoverished of the grace of the Holy Spirit, then the
world will be encircled by all types of calamities. Firstly the world will suffer from lack
of love, peace and moderation. Secondly, every country will suffer and there will be
great loss of capital from every country. The Church of Christ will also suffer due
to lack of priests and spiritual shepherds.

After this calamity the unclean one will be born from the belly of filth and will bring
forth signs and beasts with demonic fantasy, pretending to the world that he is meek
and humble at heart but he will be foxy at heart and a wolf at mind. His sustenance
will be the agitation of the people and when ever the people become agitated, he,
the antichrist, will be filled.   The agitation of the people due to condemnation,
envy, vindictiveness, hatred, enmity, greed, homosexuality, adultery, fornication,
loss of faith arrogance, will be the food of the antichrist, who will be the head of
many countries and have authority over all the world. He will have power over the
feelings of people and all will believe him because he will be the dictator and emperor
and he will bring spiritual loss to the people. Those that are on the way to perdition
will believe that they are being saved.

Then the Gospel will be ignored because the spiritual loss will bring great
unhappiness in the world and signs and terrible events will occur. Man will hunger
greatly and will not be able to be filled, for then he will be eating seven times more
than he eats now but he would still not be satisfied and there will be great sorrows
everywhere. Then, whoever was sealed with the seal of the antichrist, many will die
in the streets and the heart of most will weaken, not being able to bear hunger and
faintness, they will revert to eating the dead. On the seal will be written, “you are
mine, yes I am yours, voluntarily I come and not by force”. Woe to him who bears
the seal, for there will be a great agitation in the world. God seeing the unsettling
of the people, will order the sea to become exceedingly warm, so when the
antichrist will sit on his cursed throne, the sea will boil like molten copper and
the earth will be depleted of vegetation and trees from the warmth of the sea and
the source tributaries will dry up and the animals and birds will die from the breath
of the sea.

And then the day will be like an hour, the week like a day, the month like a week.
Due to the wickedness of man, the elements will speed up, that the time will end
soon, as proclaimed by God. Then will come the prophets Elijah and just Enoch
to proclaim that whoever is patient and is not marked by the seal of the antichrist,
will be saved and will be accepted by God in paradise eternally, only that he not be
marked with the seal, but instead make the sign of the Cross, for the seal of the
Cross frees man from the torments of hell while the seal of the antichrist delivers
him to the torments of hell. And if they hunger, they should not ask for food but
should have patience, for He will send help from above… The most  wicked children
of the antichrist are: fornication, adultery, homosexuality, murder, confiscation,
stealing, injustice, lies, torture, the buying and the selling of man….. so evil will human
nature become, that they will use wickedness worse than the demons…. And the
antichrist seeing that human nature became more evil than the demons, will rejoice
greatly….

                                                                               -  St. Nilus

Men will surrender to the spirit of the age. They will say that if they had lived in our
day, Faith would be simple and easy. But in their day, they will say, things are
complex; the Church must be brought up to date and made meaningful to the day's
problems. When the Church and the world are one, then those days are at hand.
Because our Divine Master placed a barrier between His things and the things of
the world.

                                                                              -  St. Anthony of the Desert

We know that there are three comings of the Lord. The first has occurred; the
Second Coming will occur at the end of time. The third lies between the other two.
It is invisible, while the other two are visible...The intermediate coming is a hidden one;
in it only the elect will see the Lord within their own selves...in this middle coming, He
is our rest and consolation.

                                                                        -St Bernard of Clairvaux
