Earl means nobleman. When I first saw that I thought it seemed fairly innocuous.
Then I remembered this Scripture (I'm using the 'Amplified Bible version') -

Then the kings of the earth and their noblemen and their magnates and their
military chiefs and the wealthy and the strong and [everyone, whether] slave
or free hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,

And they called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on (before) us and hide
us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne and from the deep-seated
indignation and wrath of the Lamb.

For the great day of His wrath (vengeance, retribution, indignation) has come,
and who is able to stand before it?

                                                   - Rev. 6:15-17 Amplified Bible

Don't get me wrong. I'm not even close to implying that fulfillment of this Scripture will
come this week! I will imply, however, that the storm may be a warning to those in
power who continue to crush people with taxes and an overzealous quest for control.
I don't think God likes to see His people losing their homes and struggling to make ends
meet while many of our 'public servants' or 'noblemen' are living like royalty. Many of
these 'noblemen' pillage the people they are supposed to serve while filling the pockets
of various lobbyists and those whom they favor.

This Saturday is an anniversary of sorts marking Senator Ted Kennedy's funeral.
It actually occurred August 30th, 2009. Although the date is slightly off, the
day, Saturday, is a perfect match. Hurricane Earl might directly go over his old
stomping ground-Cape Cod on that very day.

The Lord is patient, and great in power, and will not cleanse and acquit the
guilty. The Lord's ways are in a tempest, and a whirlwind, and clouds are the
dust of his feet. He rebuketh the sea, and drieth it up: and bringeth all
the rivers to be a desert. Basan languisheth and Carmel: and the flower of
Libanus fadeth away. The mountains tremble at him, and the hills are made
desolate: and the earth hath quaked at his presence, and the world, and all
    that dwell therein.

Who can stand before the face of his indignation? and who shall resist in the
fierceness of his anger? his indignation is poured out like fire: and the rocks
are melted by him. The Lord is good and giveth strength in the day of trouble:
and knoweth them that hope in him.  But with a flood that passeth by, he will
make an utter end of the place thereof: and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
What do ye devise against the Lord? he will make an utter end: there shall not
    rise a double affliction.

Nobleman; politicians...

This could also be the dreaded NYC storm. Recent messages from Brazil, believed
to be from the Blessed Mother, have mentioned an area described as a 'Bull.'
This could describe Wall Street. She also described 'towers' and 'wind.'
Manhattan would be VERY flooded if a hurricane plowed into that region.
New York City is supposedly overdue for such a scenario.
She also mentioned a 'White House' where people would be trying to evacuate.
That could be unrelated...but I figured I'd throw it out there.

Earl's direction hinges greatly on the arrival of another low pressure system
which is now crossing the United States (and ultimately the hand of God).

Once Earl makes his northerly turn, he'll probably book. Hurricanes
are naturally drawn to the north so once the turn is made they tend to
move very quickly.
That is the added drama here. They amble over the
sea in a mostly horizontal motion but once they start the south to north
movement they usually fly. If people use a slow, Florida type evacuation
schedule, they may find themselves caught in a very unpleasant and
dangerous situation.
