Commentary
Here's an e-mail I received today from Glen -

I wanted to share some pictures with you that I came
across on a Saturday morning after the opening
ceremony. I found the information on your site very
interesting. The picture of the malfunctioning cauldron
caught my attention as the 3 pillars reminded me of the
stations of the cross. I also saw something within the
flame and it appeared to be a hand reaching upward and
the face of Jesus also appeared. Could this be Our Lady
of Lourdes?

The sleeve that the hand is coming out of is white and
the trim sort of matches up to the one that is shown
worn by Our Lady of Lourdes. The hand appears to be a
woman’s hand, not very big in size. This opening day of
the 12th of February is only one day after the original
apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes. I understand that the
Pope gave his blessing before the opening ceremony. I
believe that there is some history regarding the Oblates
that started the first church in the area dedicated to Our
Lady of Lourdes.

I also understand that the cauldron took seven years
to build and malfunctioned on the big day. The three
pillars left standing meant the three pillars of the Church
to me. I was drawn to the picture because it formed a
cross. The death of a man right before the ceremony
didn’t mean much to anyone and the memorial was not
very long. I came across an article that said this young
man was afraid of the course and shared that with his
father
3 days before. Jesus spoke to His Father before His death
on the cross. I am a devout Catholic and I have never
come across anything like this but it makes sense that
Our Blessed Mother
still shares the message of salvation through her son.
I would appreciate any input with regard to this
matter as I am not very certain what to do with this
information other than to share it with others somehow.

Thanks,

Glen

** The only thing I would add is that the flags that were
flown at half staff to honor the man who died were only
flown that way until midnight, February 13th. This was
the fifth anniversary of Sr. Lucia of Fatima's passing. So
now, it seems, we have a convergence of Lourdes and
Fatima. Are all of the Blessed Mother's appearances now
coming together somehow. Medjugorje, Lourdes, Fatima,
Akita, etc...?

I really was floored when I saw this. If you look at the
center/top of the cauldron, it looks like Christ on the
cross with His head leaning to the right. IN FRONT OF
HIM, and down to the right a bit is a hand. Three fingers
are visible. Below that is the sleeve Glen referred to.
BEHIND THE THREE FINGERS OF THE HAND IS THE
BLESSED MOTHER, head down, in a pose of sheer
anguish. There is no doubt in my mind that the 3 fingers
signify the Holy Trinity.

This is a meditation in itself! It even seems like Jesus'
hair on the right side comes down and forms part of the
Blessed Mother's veil.

This photo was taken off
this sports blog.
On the left, I've highlighted
the face of Jesus. His head is
tilted to the right as if on the
cross.
**Note: These images merge into
one another as if joined or
translucent. A meditation on the
Virgin's suffering in union with
Christ's is also theologically
manifest here.
On the right, I
highlighted the face of
the Blessed Mother.
Her face is partially
covered by her hand.
She looks as if she is
crying.
Thanks Glen. That is completely awesome. It
also points out the urgent nature of our times. I
think the Holy Trinity is allowing the veil to be
lifted. More and more, we are seeing the serious
nature of this frivolous world which is in dire
need of repentance. It really looks like Heaven is
in anguish at the path mankind is taking.
