There are 3 plane incidents in the past 3 years which I
believe can be directly connected to Divine Mercy.
The first was on January 15, 2009. It was departure 1549
out of New York's LaGuardia Airport. The incident is now
referred to as the 'Miracle on the Hudson.' There was a
passenger on that plane who spent the hours preceding the
flight reaffirming his Catholic Faith.
Fred Beretta discovered a long forgotten booklet on the
Chaplet of Divine Mercy in his suitcase the day before.
After he found it, he prayed the chaplet. When his flight
was in danger of crashing the next day he noticed it was
during the 'Hour of Mercy.' Fred managed to recall a
promise Christ made during the 20th century apparitions
to a polish nun - Saint, Maria Faustina:
- "At three o'clock implore My mercy, especially for
sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse
yourself in My Passion ... This is the hour of great
mercy ... In this hour I will refuse nothing to the soul
that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion."
Fred prayed from his heart for Divine assistance; the
miraculous landing is now history. Later, he also recalled
the 15 promises the Blessed Mother made to those who
would faithfully recite the rosary and mused about how
prominent the number 15 was in relation to his miraculous
flight.
**A few weeks before the trip, he recited the Rosary for
the first time in many years.
The second plane incident didn't end as well. It happened
on the eve of the Feast of Divine Mercy. The Polish
President and many of the country's leaders were killed
when an TU-154 jet crashed in a Russian forest. Poland's
officials were going to Russia to commemorate the Katyn
massacre which took place in April and May of 1940. The
slaughter occurred not far from where the plane went down.
Pope John Paul II died 5 years before, on the eve of Divine
Mercy (different date, but nevertheless the eve of the feast
day). In contemplating this, it's sad that the government
went to Russia instead of centering themselves on the
spiritual significance of the weekend in Poland. After all,
that's where the apparitions originated. Jesus Himself said:
- "I bear a special love for Poland, and if she will be
obedient to My will, I will exalt her in might and
holiness. From her will come forth the spark that
will prepare the world for My final coming"
Until very recently, Russia denied responsibility for the
executions of approximately 22,000 polish citizens in the
Katyn forest. There are 4 monuments erected in the United
States dedicated to Katyn.
One is in New Jersey on the Hudson River.
The third flight took off in New Jersey and landed
miraculously in Poland after the landing gear became
inoperative. A Roman Catholic friar was aboard that flight.
He had in his possession 2 Catholic relics. While clutching
the relics of Blessed Pope John Paul II and Saint Gianna
Molla, he made the sign of the cross and whispered final
absolution for all the passengers aboard the endangered
flight. The LOT Polish Airlines plane was due to land at
1:35 p.m. local time but circled above the airport for an hour
before coming down for a belly landing at 2:40 - minutes
before the 'Hour of Divine Mercy.'
So, of the 3 flights one ended badly. Interestingly, it was
the one closest to the Feast Day. Sadly, it was also the
one headed away from the land of the apparition's origin.
It's been said that God tries to communicate with us
through various events. I have to admit what initially
caught my eye and drew me into doing this
commentary was the name on the plane - 'LOT.'
I immediately thought of the Biblical figure, Lot, who
escaped Sodom and Gomorrah right before God rained
fire and brimstone down on the area. The last straw was
the attempted homosexual rape of two angels sent by God.
** Considering the latest abomination at the Brooklyn
Museum; a gross homosexual themed display which
includes a video of ants crawling on a crucifix, this may
be significant. The person responsible for this sewage
was apparently a practicing homosexual who has since
passed on due to AIDS. Please pray for him....
So, here's 'LOT' landing safely in the country of Divine
Mercy after leaving the United States while sparks followed
it all the way down the runway!
Very often people's names are loaded with meaning so
I also checked on the name of the pilot - Tadeusz Wrona.
The name Tadeusz (Thaddaios), the Greek form of the
Aramaic name Thaddai is possibly derived from a word
meaning 'heart.' ** Reminds me of the Divine Mercy icon
where Christ is seen with rays emanating from his heart.
The pilot's last name is 'Wrona' which means 'crow.'
Put Crow in a Scripture search engine and you come up
with 7 different hits on the denials of Christ.
I also came across this about crows -
Eaters of carrion, ravens were messengers of death,
pestilence, and battle. It was believed that these flesh-
hungry birds could smell the scent of death upon a person
before they died - even through the walls of a house. In
paintings, the raven may be seen flying over battlefields,
eager to feast on the dead. After the Battle of Armageddon,
ravens will descend upon the lands of the wicked
(see Isaiah 34:11).
The raven's cry of "Cras! Cras!" was interpreted by Latin
speakers to mean "Tomorrow! Tomorrow!" Therefore it
became a symbol of the foolish sinner who puts off
conversion.
Christians thought they carried off the souls of the damned
and associated this bird with the Fall of Man and Satan who
blinds sinners, dulls their moral senses, and feasts on their
corruption.
I also found a symbolic link between the crow and Antichrist.
When you think about it, it makes sense. In Christianity, the
white dove is the symbol of the Holy Spirit.
LOT airlines safely landed (thanks be to God) on All Saints
Day. 4 days later, in the heartland of the United States,
an historic 5.6 earthquake struck on November 5th,
7 minutes before midnight. The epicenter was four miles
east of 'Sparks' in Lincoln County, Oklahoma.
The quake was preceded by an earlier 4.7 at 3:12 am.
I can only present some semi-connected 'dots' in this
commentary. Some are very positive, offering a true
sense of direction in times of peril. It is well advised,
however, to consider the words of some very accurate,
modern-day seers, prophets and locutionists who
have warned regarding the possibility of a devastating
earthquake in the Midwestern United States. We should
be prepared for anything - primarily spiritually but also
physically.
