The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work
of his hands. Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.
There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard. Their
sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the
    world.

    ~ Psalm 18: 2-5

I've been writing a lot about pelicans lately. So much that I began to wonder if there  a
pelican constellation in the sky. There's not a constellation, but there is a 'Pelican Nebula'
located just below another nebula called the North American Nebula (It is shaped like the
U.S.). It's technical name is NGC 7000. These nebulas are contained in the Constellation
Cygnus or 'the Swan' (IC 5070), one of the largest constellations in the heavens.

This is the 'Pelican Nebula.' I think it looks more like the Blessed Mother:

The Pelican Nebula is located 2,000 light years away from Earth. It is utterly amazing to
realize that the light we see right now from that nebula was probably generated when
Christ walked the earth. 2,000 light years away means that the light takes 2,000 years to
reach our eyes.

Below is a pic of the North American Nebula and the Pelican Nebula.

This area of the sky also displays an asterism called the Northern Cross. An asterism is
a 'clipped' version of a Constellation and actually more recognizable. It's really quite
amazing that the Milky way, also known as the 'river of heaven,' is marked by a huge cross.

    Ecclesiasticus 44:23
And that he would exalt his seed as the stars, and they should inherit from
sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.

The Northern Cross points out the Milky Way, a river of stars which is actually a view of
our galaxy from the inside out. It's also worth noting that this area looks sort of like a
tunnel of light with stars swirling around it. I can't help but think of the many documented
'near death experiences' which mention a tunnel of light with millions of pinpoints of light
moving on either side.

Below is a movie showing how the Northern Cross is 'planted' in the north vertically when
it sets once each day. On the right you can see a still shot of how it appears on the horizon,
each day, before it plunges below the horizon. On the right is how the Northern Cross
appeared on the horizon this morning at 6:15am when it set. The blue area marks the
Milky Way.

Images of the Northern Cross positioned like this reminded me of a statue of the Blessed
Mother-Our Lady of the Globe-which is connected to the Miraculous Medal apparitions to
Saint Catherine Laboure, in France.

The first apparition occurred on July 18, 1830, at about 11:30PM. Catherine said the chapel
was decorated as if it was Christmas Eve.
Keep that in mind...

Approximately, four Months later came the second apparition.

Here is Saint Catherine's account of what happened:

"On the 27th of November, 1830... while making my meditation in profound silence...
I seemed to hear on the right hand side of the sanctuary something like the rustling
of a silk dress. Glancing in that direction, I perceived the Blessed Virgin standing
near St. Joseph's picture. Her height was medium and Her countenance, indescribably
beautiful. She was dressed in a robe the color of the dawn, high-necked, with plain
sleeves. Her head was covered with a white veil, which floated over Her shoulders
down to her feet. Her feet rested upon a globe, or rather one half of a globe, for that
was all that could be seen. Her hands which were on a level with Her waist, held in
an easy manner another globe, a figure of the world. Her eyes were raised to Heaven,
and Her countenance beamed with light as She offered the globe to Our Lord.

"As I was busy contemplating Her, the Blessed Virgin fixed Her eyes upon me, and a
voice said in the depths of my heart: ' This globe which you see represents the whole
world, especially France, and each person in particular.'

"There now formed around the Blessed Virgin a frame rather oval in shape on which
were written in letters of gold these words: ' O Mary conceived without sin, pray for
us who have recourse to Thee.' Then a voice said to me: ' Have a medal struck upon
this model. All those who wear it, when it is blessed, will receive great graces
especially if they wear it round the neck. Those who repeat this prayer with devotion
will be in a special manner under the protection of the Mother of God. Graces will be
abundantly bestowed upon those who have confidence.'

"At the same instant, the oval frame seemed to turn around. Then I saw on the back
of it the letter 'M', surmounted by a cross, with a crossbar beneath it, and under the
monogram of the name of Mary, the Holy Hearts of Jesus and of His Mother; the
first surrounded by a crown of thorns and the second transpierced by a sword. I was
anxious to know what words must be placed on the reverse side of the medal and
after many prayers, one day in meditation I seemed to hear a voice which said to me:
'The 'M' with the Cross and the two Hearts tell enough.' "

Most of us are familiar with the Miraculous Medal. This was the pose Our Lady took before
the globe in her hands appeared. On the back of the medal, look at the cross, the M and
the bar. Then look at the constellation map of Cygnus on the right. Of course, the Northern
Cross is quite evident. I marked the star pattern below with a black arrow which forms the
'M' astronomers refer to when they are locating the Dumbell Nebula (see yellow arrow).
The 'M' is directly over M-27 (the Dumbbell Nebula).

A dumbbell looks an awful lot like a bar.

Another site on the web states -

'For years St. Catherine Laboure was tormented, almost up until the day she died, because
no statue had been made of the Virgin of the Globe. This was so important to her that she
broke her own silence of 46 years, that she was the nun to whom the Blessed Virgin had
appeared back in 1830, in order to procure the request of the Mother she loved so adoringly.
At the time, it was thought to be a peculiar description of Our Lady. After all, who had ever
heard of Our Lady holding a golden ball with a cross on it. Not your everyday depiction of
the Blessed Mother. Yet the nun, Sr. Dufes, to whom St. Catherine made her dying wish
realized that heaven knew the significance of this unusual detail even if she didn't. And so
the beautiful sculpted statue of the Virgin of the Globe was immediately commissioned. The
statue was eventually placed above an altar on the spot of the apparition at the shrine of
the Miraculous Medal on the rue du Bac in Paris, France.'

Yes. I bet heaven did want to have a depiction of the Blessed Mother holding the globe
with the cross over it. Perhaps because the sky stood as a witness to her apparition on
that winter evening at 11:30pm. The back of the Miraculous Medal holds almost a heavenly
Imprimatur: the Northern Cross asterism, the 'M' over the Dumbbell Nebula, and all
surrounded by the stars of the Milky Way. Now that's real heavenly astronomy!

Here is what the sky looked like at 11:30pm that evening. I highlighted the Northern Cross
so you could see it's position easily:

Another interesting aspect in the Rue de Bac appearance of the Blessed Mother is the
date of the first apparition - July 18th. Sister Catherine claimed the decorated chapel
took on the appearance of 'Christmas Eve.' I'm sure the fact that it was mid-July made
this seem even more odd!

Please allow me to play in my 'prophetic sandbox' for a moment.

Many of you know that I have alluded to the theory that Barack Hussein Obama may be
the final Antichrist. It has been written that a person called the 'man of sin' or 'king of
fierce countenance' will rule three and a half years immediately before the second coming
of Christ. And as far as a modern day 'abomination in the Holy Place,' I think that was
achieved when Barack Hussein Obama entered a Catholic Sanctuary and addressed the
congregation at Ted Kennedy's funeral. His extreme, immoral, anti-life agenda qualified
this as an abominable moment in Church history, in my opinion.

Scripture says the
persecution of the Antichrist will last for 3 and a half years.

Power will be given to the beast for 42 months.

Sooooo, let's play with some dates. Three and a half years of Obama's rule would land us
on the date
July 20, 2012. I'm sure if we play with some time zones we could even call the
date July 19th. Now recall that St. Catherine Laboure's 'Christmas Eve' apparition date was
July 18th. Of course, Christmas Eve is the night before Christ's first coming.

Some people think these apparitions are out-dated and no longer relevant. We may,
however,  find that the Blessed Mother, thanks to the Holy will of God, is reiterating Jesus
Christ's words which echo today from 2,000 years ago, just like that light from the Pelican
Nebula:

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon
the earth distress of nations, by reason of the confusion of the roaring of the sea
    and of the waves;

Men withering away for fear, and expectation of what shall come upon the whole
world. For the powers of heaven shall be moved; And then they shall see the
Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and majesty. But when these
things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads, because your
    redemption is at hand.
And he spoke to them in a similitude. See the fig tree, and all the trees:
    When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is nigh;

So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the
kingdom of God is at hand.

                                                                  -  Luke Chapter 21: 25-31

** Sort of related footnote:  In my opinion, the fact that Galileo was initially resisted
by the Church was precisely because many celestial events bear witness to Scripture and
authentic apparitions. The Church leaders, being inspired by the Holy Spirit, knew this.
When Galileo came along, hurriedly attempting to 'change' times and seasons, the Church,
being prudent, initially resisted his theories until they were thoroughly investigated. If the
planets, stars and constellations indeed bear witness to God's word, their rotations and
cycles in the heavens hold meaning and should not be 'changed' on one person's whim.
