In scripture, the names of people always meant something. The name  
Jesus means God saves. When Jesus was presented before the crowds
before being condemned to death, the crowd was given a choice. They were
presented with the Son of God, as Jesus claimed to be, and they were also
presented with a counterfeit.

The name 'Bar' meant 'son of' and the name abba, of course, means father.  
So the crowd was presented with the real thing, Jesus Christ, the Son of the
Father and they were also presented with an impostor, or a figure of
antichrist: Barabbas (son of the father).

I am setting this up in a spiritual way, as usual, to make a point. An
interesting aside, also, is that the name Al Gore can be translated to mean
'the slaughter'.

The last name of the new Governor of New York State is Paterson. This can
be translated to mean 'pater' or 'father' combined with 'son'. In English this
could translate to mean 'son of father' or 'father's son'. Christ said there
would be a time when many would come in His name saying, "I am He" or "I
am the Christ". He also indicated there would be many antichrists before
the final one. I believe that the Lord makes things quite easy to see
sometimes. If people refuse to see the rottenness of certain people's
agendas (or "fruits"), perhaps names might get their attention!

                     I'm pointing this out because Governor                                         
                      Paterson has announced his intention to make                            
                      'gay' marriage the law in New York State.                                    
                      Evidently, he believes that 'happily' married                                 
                      is now equivalent to 'gay' marriage. After all                                
                      gay means happy right? Considering the                                      
                      desecration of his own 'marriage', I suppose                                
                      this disrespect for the institution should be no                            
                      surprise. This stated goal has deep spiritual/social
ramifications and is also an affront to God and all natural order. Numerous
times through the Old Testament Israel had kings who "caused them to sin".
This always meant future wars and troubled times for the Jewish people.

Recently I heard a man, on EWTN, who was a recovered homosexual. He
described it as "seeking a legitimate need illegitimately". He said his father
was always calling him a girl and insulting him. They never bonded when he
was young and later through these homosexual relationships he was still  
trying to 'fix' that broken relationship by seeking a bond with other men.
The Catholic Church still states that this is a disorder. The psychological
community held that belief until very recently when people with sexual
disorders, such as Kinsey, main streamed  the homosexual agenda.

At a recent homosexual activists dinner, Paterson claimed that one of the
reasons Eliot Spitzer was elected Governor was because he was the first to
promote homosexual marriage, and he was actually ELECTED "on that
premise".  That's weird, because when the American people were presented
with the choice to redefine marriage in 11 states all 11 states REJECTED
HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE. One wonders if his speech last night was written
by the father of lies, considering the facts have definitively shown
Americans do not want a wrecking ball taken to the institution of marriage.
Homosexuals, by the way, do have rights. The same ones you and I enjoy in
the United States. Those rights come from our Creator and shouldn't be
based on fornication.

Eliot Spitzer was 'pulled from his throne', so we can only hope that the
Almighty God through the power of Jesus Christ and the intercession of the
most pure Mother of God prevents this lawlessness that this new Governor
seeks to pursue. Paterson's name may mean son of the father but this is
still the same old garbage from the father of lies.

Many Governors who have forwarded cloning, embryo destruction and
experimentation and other immoral agendas have fallen away; Governor
McGreevey, Gray Davis, and Eliot Spitzer to name a few.

May Almighty God deliver us from evil and leaders who are intent on
'causing us to sin'. And also may we invoke Our Lady of America: By thy
holy and Immaculate Conception, Oh Mary, deliver us from evil. AMEN.
