Commentary
So, as we're witnessing the unraveling
of any remaining semblance of order
in the Middle East
and considering we
just may have seen a supernatural
sign indicating the arrival of the 'pale
horse' of the Apocalypse, I would like
to share the Scriptural thought I had
while composing this comment
ary.

At first I couldn't find the Scripture
which was on my mind. Then I found
it.
It's the very next verse after the
Scripture about the pale green horse.

[9] And when he had opened the fifth
seal, I saw under the altar the
souls of them that were slain for the
word of God, and for the testimony
which they held. [10] And they cried
with a loud voice, saying: How long,
O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not
judge and revenge our blood on them
that dwell on the earth?

[11] And white robes were given to
every one of them one; and it was said
to them, that they should rest for a little
time, till their fellow servants, and their
brethren, who are to be slain, even as
they, should be filled up.

~ Book of Apocalypse 6: 9-11

Here's the entire Chapter.

May Christ and His Holy Mother protect
and guide you and yours. Please pray
as the Holy Spirit prompts you to each
day. Looks like we all are going to need
it.

I really hesitated to do this commentary. It just
seemed kind of 'out there.' Hopefully, I'm not
stretching things but I'll leave that to your judgment.

On February 19, 2011 the White House Christmas
tree blew over. I initially thought it was one of the
temporary, seasonal additions to the landscape.
Turns out, it was a permanent one, planted during
the Carter administration.

On another blog, I saw a picture of the toppled tree.
I have a habit of looking for images of Jesus or Mary
in photos connected with monumental type events.
Could be, I'd fail an inkblot test but I'm going
to share what I've noticed in a few of these photos.
I did enlist some 'second opinions' and will share
what they spotted too. ** The third anniversary of the
site just passed and I'm blessed to have the help
and encouragement of some awesome fellow
Catholics.

Picking out images like this is tough to do with digital
photography. As you can see, rather than light making
smoothed images on film digital imagery is made up
of, well, sort of squares. The final product, especially
if zoomed in, takes on a grid-like appearance. So, the
closer you get to a digital image, the more difficult it is
to distinguish. Sometimes it's better to view one of
these from halfway across the room!

That being said, I'm going to share with you my
interpretation of some images in the news photo.

Here is a portion of the photo which, I believe shows
an image of Christ.
Here is the
image cropped.
I do think He's
looking toward
the White
House, by the
way...
I rotated this slightly
with a radial blur tool
in 'Print Shop' to try
to soften it and
reduce the 'grid'
effect. It also looks
like a tear is flowing
from His right eye.
Initially, I only saw the Jesus image, but as
time went on a few other objects and people
seemed visible. First I'll diagram some of the
images. Later, I'll leave the image untouched
so you might see what I've circled.** The
brightness of your monitor may also impact
visibility.
After I zoomed in using 'print shop' I noticed a
vague image of another face. I also think it
looks like this person has a baby pressed
against the right chin area. To me, the face
looks grief stricken. Like Jesus, the eyes of the
other person are even with the top of the altar.
** If you have your screen set bright with low
contrast you may have a particularly hard time
seeing this one. Below is a close-up.
To me, it looks like the right profile of
the baby's nose, right eye, and part
of the left eye, which looks pressed
against Jesus' right cheek.
As I started this commentary, The
thought dawned on me that the white
area just below Jesus eyes was an
altar. The monk, spotted by a friend,
solidified that theory for me. That
very same person spotted what
appears to be a book with a cross on
it in front of the altar
