Tree of Life Sword Commentary - 9/11/2008

I have a few thoughts I'd like to share on the current times, and a dream I had
several nights ago. I'd forgotten about the dream until I was caught in a lightning
storm the next day. It's amazing how one of those can clear your head!

The dream was very short. Probably only a few seconds. I was in the back of
a rather dark rust/brownish  Church and people were sitting, or more likely,
kneeling in pews in front of me. They were facing a Priest who was raising the
Blessed Sacrament in a Monstrance to make the sign of the cross over them.
This is done during a Catholic Benediction service; one of the most solemn
moments of devotion in the Catholic Church. I remember thinking that
this would keep us safe during the coming events. I even had the impression
that hardship had already begun for these people.

I am writing this, finally, on the seventh anniversary of September 11th. I didn't
plan it this way. It's just how things worked out. As we all know, there just aren't
    enough hours in the day...

Considering the fact that 'Benediction' means blessing, I'd like to share an
experience I had on the Sunday before September 11th. Again, if I wasn't
composing this commentary tonight, this wouldn't have come to mind. It's amazing
how the Lord works. On the Sunday before September 11th, as the Priest
made the sign of the cross during the final blessing at Mass,  I felt a 'rush' surge
over the congregation. I know I wasn't the only one who felt it, because I looked
up and the lector had a strange, startled look on his face. I assumed he felt the
'rush' too, but it was so extraordinary I really didn't know what to think. Let's just
put it this way, I've never had a blessing with that much punch in it, and I had no
idea why it was so different. However, after Tuesday, September 11th, I knew
why it was different. I realized that  as I drove to work that morning, Flight 11 flew
right over our area. God gave us a powerful blessing of protection that Sunday.
The name of the Church, by the way, was Blessed Sacrament.

I really didn't plan on writing that paragraph, but there it is. Both blessings involve
a 'Blessed Sacrament' and protection from turbulent, even deadly events.
Lately,  the news seems to portend the onset of a serious time. Recently, words
from Catholic prophets seem to have an especially urgent tone. I can tell you,
without a doubt, that the fact that the world is permitting filth to flood into every
area of society and corrupt even the most innocent little children, is probably one
of the most offensive 'final straws' that the Heavenly Father has had to endure.
Perhaps we should all make use of the Sacrament of Confession. Especially, if
you haven't been there in a while. Of course, as always, stay near to Jesus
Christ and His Holy Mother. Please pray,  attend Holy Mass, and trust Him
who saves you and loves you infinitely.

Also for 2 nights in a row before this dream, I opened the Bible to the exact
same passage-Daniel chapter 3. It is about King Nabuchodonosor (please don't
check my spelling!) who set up a statue of gold "60 cubits high and 6 cubits
broad." He demanded that everyone, at the sound of a trumpet and music, fall
down and adore the golden statue which he set up. Three courageous men
refused and were put in a furnace, which the king demanded be heated 7 times
more than it usually was heated. Well, the king was amazed as the three men sang
praises to God and walked around unscathed in the flames. And another man
appeared with them in the fire who had a "form" like "the Son of God." The king
was "astonished" as the men lived through this, without even the smell of smoke on
their clothes. Then the king commanded that every people, tribe, and tongue
which shall speak blasphemy against the three men's God shall be destroyed and
their houses laid waste. He proclaimed that no other God could save in this
manner. What a conversion, huh? Not so good for those who would blaspheme
    though...

8 And there shall be in all the earth, saith the Lord, two parts in it
shall be scattered, and shall perish: but the third part shall be left
    therein.

9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them
as silver is refined: and I will try them as gold is tried. They shall call
on my name, and I will hear them. I will say: Thou art my people: and
they shall say: The Lord is my God.

                                                                                                                  - Zech. 13:8-9

Have you noticed lately, that when there's a survey about something really evil,
only about 34% of people will now vote against it? Is this testing almost over?
    Have we reached the minimums?

Finally, let us resist the unbridled frivolity that seems to be overtaking so many
personalities today. Be joyful always, but remember, these are serious times.
Make sure you have your 'lamps' ready.

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell.
Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

                                                              - Prayer the Angel at Fatima taught the 3 children

The Lord will be their Light.
He shall be their bridge across water.
