Pride goeth before destruction: and the spirit is lifted up
before a fall.
                                               ~ Proverbs 16:18

Earlier this week, we recalled the legacy of Martin Luther
King. Today marked the 50th anniversary of John F.
Kennedy's inauguration. This Saturday also marks the
grim, 38th year of legalized abortion in the United States.
On that very day, January 22, 2011, Sargent Shriver, a
Kennedy brother in law, will be laid to rest. Shriver was
an authentic, pro-life champion of human rights. The
funeral coinciding with the anniversary of Roe is especially
odd considering the liberal, pro-abortion, nature of many
in the Kennedy family. It's so sad to think of the legacy
and the Catholic faith they've been given and the way
it has been selfishly and cowardly squandered. What an
amazing witness to truth and justice they could be if only
they defended innocent human life as Sargent Shriver
and his wife, Eunice Kennedy, did.

As I sit here watching liberal after liberal fawn over John
F. Kennedy's legacy on CSpan, I wonder if they realize
how far the democrat agenda has strayed from its
supposed original course - peace, justice and concern for,
as they used to say, 'the little guy.' Such riches squandered.
Someone once said, 'Social justice not centered on Christ
is Judas revisited.' How often we see this phenomenon
played out before our very eyes today!

It takes courage to stand for the least of these. Jesus
said satan is the prince of this world so it goes 'against
the grain' of this world to do so. Most people in the world
didn't question when young John, Jr. and Caroline Kennedy
presented the 'Profiles in Courage Award' to a judge who
demanded the Ten Commandments be removed from
another judge's court. 111 weeks later John Kennedy Jr.'s
plane crashed in the ocean off of a place referred to as
'the Vineyard' killing all on board.

'The Vineyard...'

11 is understood in Scripture to symbolize unraveling,
disintegration, degeneration, etc.. Does anyone doubt this
after witnessing many of the actions of the 111th congress
in the past 2 years?

I ran across an online article where Maria Shriver was
recalling a recent visit with her father. He was the victim
of Alzheimers, diagnosed about 7 years ago. During her
time with her father she seemed totally taken by the
distance between herself and her father. He'd taken
on a childlike personality and paid more attention to his
caretaker then he did to her. This really stood out in the
article - a chasm which was so startling it deeply
bothered her.

I couldn't help but think of this Scripture:

Amen I say to you, whosoever shall not receive the
kingdom of God as a little child, shall not enter into it.

                                                              ~ Mark 10:15

Of course, this Scripture isn't referring to that situation
in a literal sense. But I wonder if there isn't a deeper
message for the Kennedys through this experience.
Maybe it was a visual representation of a deeper spiritual
truth.

President Kennedy was an advocate of civil rights. The
Kennedy family today would probably claim the same
mantle.  But considering they prop up liberals who are
advocating a veritable genocide against black babies
via abortion; how can they? Or is it just about money
with these people?
Judas also feigned financial concern
for the poor.

2,011...

This year started so strangely: Planetary tremors, animals
dying globally, satanism connected to a mass murderer
whose first reported victims were a politician, a judge
and a child (as the anniversary of legalized abortion
approached), the arrest of a savage abortionist in
Philadelphia who killed at least 7 babies with scissors
after they were born, the return of a brutal dictator
called 'Baby Doc' to an earthquake ravaged country
25 years after he fled in exile.

This is a really intense beginning for a year that isn't
even 3 weeks old.

The Mexico curse continues...

Ever since the president lifted the ban on public funding
of abortion overseas (the Mexico City Policy), every
problem we've had seems to involve the word 'Mexico.'
The swine flu, the unbelievably violent drug war in Mexico
which threatens to bleed over into the U.S., our unsecured
southern border, the mind boggling Gulf Oil gusher and the
ensuing ecological (still unfolding) disaster, the federal
government's opposition to the efforts of the state of
Arizona to secure it's border, the Arizona shooter's abuse
of a drug called 'salvia'
which is used by shamans in Mexico
and causes unbelievably scary side effects such as out of
body experiences and contact with 'entities.'

'I call heaven and earth to witness this day, that I have set
before you life and death, blessing and cursing.'

                                              ~ Deuteronomy 30:19

As we begin a year which seems to be point to the Blessed
Mother's apparition in LaSalette, France, expect the abyss
to widen. It is very obvious that God is trying to appeal to
mankind's conscience.

The Holy Father recently warned that the world resembles
the Roman Empire before its fall. He practically appealed
to God for assistance saying that mankind is now suffering
from an 'eclipse of reason.' Things have degenerated so
there doesn't appear to be a way out, absent divine
intervention.

Please continue praying for our brothers and sisters who
may be lost in this confused world, for our perseverance
in a growing environment of persecution and for all
Christians who hide their light in this ever darkening night.

 ~ Jesus, I trust in You. ~

'Let the storm rage and the sky darken-we shall not be
dismayed. If we trust as we should in Mary, we shall
recognize in her, the Virgin Most Powerful 'who with
virginal foot did crush the head of the serpent.'
